John J. D’Andrea is a partner and a member of the firm’s Health Practice Group. His practice includes the representation of health care organizations, including hospitals, health systems, physician groups, ancillary service providers, specialty pharmacy providers and managed care organizations throughout the United States.
John counsels clients on a wide variety of health care transactional and regulatory matters, including mergers and acquisitions, managed care contracting and network development, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute analysis, and compliance program and regulatory due diligence reviews. John frequently advises hospitals and physicians regarding physician recruitment, employment, joint venture and other hospital-physician relationships.
John often speaks and writes on health care issues, including the federal Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, physician practice management issues and issues regarding the procurement and implementation of ambulatory electronic health record systems. John is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
Prior to joining the firm, John was a partner in the Albany, New York office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP.
John received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1987 from the College of the Holy Cross. He graduated from the Albany Law School of Union University, cum laude, in 1990. John is a member of the New York Bar. |
