John J. Reid is a partner in the firm’s Lake County office, based in Libertyville, Illinois. Mr. Reid serves clients in Cook, Lake, McHenry, Boone, and Kane counties, and has assisted in defending health care providers in southern Wisconsin. Mr. Reid specializes in civil litigation with an emphasis on the defense of physicians, institutional health care providers, hospitals and nurses in medical malpractice and professional negligence litigation. Mr. Reid also represents clients in product liability, construction/general negligence, and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Reid has provided representation to physicians appearing before the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Reid also serves as a consultant to several hospitals and has actively worked with healthcare personnel in drafting of policies, procedures and consent forms for general hospital use consistent with recent and evolving developments in Illinois law. Mr. Reid has presented seminars to physician’s groups on a wide range of medical legal issues. While at law school, Mr. Reid was on the Dean’s List as well as a member of the International Moot Court Honor Society, competing in the Niagara International Moot Court Competition in Cleveland, Ohio, 1996.
