John H. Cobb is a partner in Milbank's Leveraged Finance Group, and focuses on leveraged loan and capital markets transactions.
Mr. Cobb has extensive experience in representing banks, investors, mezzanine funds and issuers in connection with a broad range of banking and securities transactions, including first and second lien credit facilities, bridge loan facilities, high yield and investment grade debt offerings, mezzanine financings, initial public offerings, secondary equity offerings, liability management transactions, restructurings and reorganizations. Mr. Cobb has significant experience in connection with financing for leveraged buyouts and other acquisition finance transactions. His practice also includes representation of both public and private companies in connection with general corporate and securities law matters.
Some of Mr. Cobb's recent representative transactions include, representing banks in connection with the leveraged buyouts of CDW Corporation; Sequa Corporation; The Yankee Candle Company, Inc.; Air Canada Transportation Services and Sheridan Healthcare.
Mr. Cobb, who joined Milbank in 2003, earned his B.S. from Providence College and his J.D., magna cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law, where he was Articles Editor of The Law Review. Prior to joining Milbank, Mr. Cobb was an investment banker in the leveraged finance group of a major investment bank and was a certified public accountant for a big four accounting firm. |
