Dr. Shin has nearly 25 years of research and development experience in semiconductor technology and design along with executive management experience. Dr. Shin hails from Hynix Semiconductor Inc. (formerly Hyundai Electronics Industries) where he served as executive vice president responsible for memory product and technology development. Previously he was president and CEO of Hyundai DynaLogic Inc. a Hyundai subsidiary and senior vice president and general manager of the System IC Division heading the system LSI ASIC and foundry businesses. Prior to Hyundai Dr. Shin spent more than eight years at the IBM Watson Research Center first as a research staff member and later as manager of the Digital Communication IC Design Group. He started his career at Korea Institute of Electronics Technology where he led microcontroller development. Dr. Shin received a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Seoul National University a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer sciences from U.C. Berkeley. |
