John G. McCool is vice president and general manager - DuPont Refinish Systems. He joined DuPont in 1976 as an accountant and business analyst in Wilmington, Del.
From 1980 to 1991 he held a variety of manufacturing assignments in the Textile Fibers Department.
In 1991 he was named manufacturing superintendent for DuPont Cronar® films in Brevard, N.C. He then became global business manager in 1993 for the same business. In 1997 he was named director for DuPont Power in Wilmington, Del., with overall responsibility for developing corporate energy strategy. From 2000 to 2002 he served as Six Sigma Champion for Global Sourcing and Logistics. In 2002 Mr. McCool became global business director for the DuPont Fluorochemicals business. He was named to his current position in May 2006.
Mr. McCool was born in 1953. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware in 1975. In 1984, he earned a master of business administration from the Wilmington College.
