John Fullerton joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 2005 as Special Counsel in the Litigation Group, where he concentrates his practice on labor and employment law. John has represented, counseled and litigated on behalf of employers in state and federal court and before administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and New York State Department of Labor. He has substantial experience in the financial, real estate and building service, newspaper, education, cultural, sports and entertainment industries. His practice includes day-to-day counseling; litigation, arbitration and mediation of discrimination, wage and hour, restrictive covenant/non-compete and wrongful termination claims; labor relations and collective bargaining; and corporate transactional advice on labor and employment issues. John is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Pace University School of Law, where he teaches classes in Labor Law and Advanced Appellate Advocacy and serves as the faculty advisor to the law school s National Moot Court team. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Center for Labor and Employment Law at New York University School of Law, the New York Management Attorneys Conference, and serves as an arbitrator for the Civil Court of City of New York, Small Claims Part. John has lectured often and authored numerous articles on labor and employment topics for various publications, including The National Law Journal, The New York Law Journal, The Labor Lawyer, Real Estate Weekly, Corporate Counsel and Dispute Resolution Journal.
