Jack, a resident of South Kingstown, R.I., joined the Bank in April 1999 as president and chief operating officer, bringing over 30 years of banking experience to Washington Trust.
Jack spent 22 years with Shawmut National Corporation in various positions of responsibility within the Corporate and Financial Planning areas. In 1991, he joined Sterling Bancshares in Waltham, Mass. as Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. After Sterling, Jack served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for SIS Bancorp, Inc. in Springfield, Mass.
Jack received a bachelor's degree in economics from St. Anselm College in 1969, and a master's in business administration from Suffolk University in 1976. His post graduate studies include the Program for Management Development of the Harvard Business School and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.
Jack serves on the board of directors and executive committee of The Meeting Street Center and is vice chairman of Hospice Care of Rhode Island. He is also a trustee of the YMCA of Greater Providence and a member of the CEO Council of Junior Achievement. |
