John F. Owen, Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain, oversees all of Avon’s global supply chain functions, including sourcing, manufacturing, order fulfillment and logistics to ensure full alignment and integration with the company’s operating business unit efforts.
A veteran of Avon for almost 25 years, Mr. Owen has had extensive experience in Avon’s fiscal operations and has held increasingly senior level positions in finance and business transformation.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Owen was Senior Vice President and President, Europe, Middle East & Africa, and had full profit-and-loss responsibility for all of Avon’s operations in this region.
Mr. Owen was Senior Vice President, Business Transformation, from 2002 to 2004. In that role, he spearheaded the development of Avon’s global supply chain strategy inclusive of designing a strategic blueprint integrating Avon’s supply chain processes worldwide.
From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Owen served as Group Vice President, Global Finance. And from 1997 to 2000, he was Vice President, Finance North America. From 1996 to 1997, he was assigned full-time to the Finance Reengineering Team.
From 1995 to 1996, Mr. Owen served as Global Finance Director responsible for the financial systems function and business process redesign. He served as Vice President, Finance, Avon Canada from 1992 to July 1995, and from 1990 to 1992, Mr. Owen was Director, Corporate Operations Analysis.
After joining the company in 1980, Mr. Owen held a series of managerial positions in accounting, planning and analysis at the Rye Distribution facility, the Suffern Manufacturing facility and the New York office until 1989.
Mr. Owen earned a B.A. in Accounting from Siena College and an executive M.B.A from Pace University.
