John Lawlor is a corporate attorney who has extensive experience representing lenders and borrowers in many types of complex financings, including senior and subordinated, secured and unsecured, investment grade and non-investment grade instruments.
Major deals in which John has represented lenders include representations of: Bank of America in connection with the senior bank financings of Plastech Engineered Products, Inc., Del Monte Corporation and Rayovac Corporation; ABN AMRO Bank NV in connection with the workout and subsequent bankruptcy of Tokheim Corporation; the US financing arm of DaimlerChrysler in connection with credit facilities extended to United Auto Group, Inc., Lithia Motors and CarMax, Inc.; and JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA, in connection with capital subscription facilities to private equity funds.
John also represents borrowers involved in major deals, including ongoing representations of Xanterra Parks & Resorts, Inc., Mittal Steel USA, Inc., Residential Capital Corporation, Cemex, SA de CV, Kerry Group, Ameritrade, Inc., Dobson Cellular Systems, The Hub Group, Inc., Clarion Lion Properties Fund, Verde Realty, Dividend Capital Operating Partnership, Persimmon plc and Everest Reinsurance Holdings, Inc.
