John F. Croweak is the former Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Connecticut, having spent over twenty years serving in positions of increased responsibility within the Blue Cross & Blue Shield organization and retiring as Chairman of the Board in 2000. During his career with Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Mr. Croweak served as Chairman of the Board of seven organizations in the healthcare and benefits field and as a Board member of five others. He is also the former Chairman of the Board of Connecticut Community Care, a former member of the Advisory Board of the University of Connecticut's School of Business, a former Board member of Quinnipiac University and Drugs Don't Work. He received an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Humane Letters from Quinnipiac University. Mr. Croweak also serves on the Board of Directors of UIL Holdings Corporation.
Mr. Croweak joined the Board of Directors of New Haven Savings Bank in 1989. His term on the NewAlliance Board expires at the 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. |
