John F. Andrews, is a director of Freed, Maxick & Battaglia, CPA's, P.C., and RSM McGladrey, Inc. formerly Battaglia, Andrews & Moag, P.C. He has resided in Batavia for the last thirty-nine years. He is a graduate of Attica Central School and continued his education at Niagara University, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an accounting major. He accepted a position with the Buffalo office of Arthur Young & Co. and held a position with that firm until 1966 when he accepted employment in private industry. During his career at Arthur Young & Co., Mr. Andrews had extensive experience with and was responsible for audit engagements of many clients in areas such as manufacturing, retailing, banking and securities firms. In 1973 he reentered the field of public accounting establishing his own firm, which eventually merged into Battaglia, Andrews & Moag, P.C. As a director in Freed, Maxick & Battaglia, CPA's, P.C. and Battaglia, Andrews & Moag, P.C., Mr. Andrews has been responsible for audits of organizations such as commercial enterprises and non-profit organizations as well as performing tax preparation and planning services. He has an extensive background in automobile dealership accounting, business succession planning and personal financial planning. Mr. Andrews is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also has been active in the community. He is the current chairman of the Genesee County Industrial Development Agency; Past President and current board member of the Genesee Community College Foundation; past board member and Treasurer of the board of United Memorial Medical Center and currently is a Trustee of St. Joseph’s Church in Batavia.
