John has practiced consulting engineering in the central and east Texas regions since 1975. As a principal of Pledger Kalkomey, Inc. - Consulting Engineers (acquired by Jones & Carter, Inc. in May 2007), John brings over twenty-eight (28) years of experience and expertise to the company with particular emphasis in municipal, county and institutional public infrastructure. John has also been actively involved in the development sector, providing conceptual, preliminary, design and construction phase engineering services throughout the region. All this, along with his extensive knowledge regarding government grants and loans, makes John a valuable asset to Jones & Carter.
Over the years, John has built strong relationships with local, county, state and federal agencies in Brenham, Bryan and Rosenberg. As Manager of Brenham Operations, he continues to deliver quality service, emphasizing efficient solutions at a reasonable cost.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, John holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (1974) and a Master of Engineering - Transportation (1975). He is also an active Registered Professional Land Surveyor and Real Estate Broker in the state of Texas. John is an active volunteer for Boy Scouts of America, Volunteer Services Council for Brenham State School and Camp for All and has served on the City of Brenham City Council. |
