Mr. McGlade was elected to the Board of Directors 17 May 2007. He was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Air Products in October 2006. He assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer on 1 October 2007. Mr. McGlade joined Air Products in 1976 as a participant in the Company’s Career Development Program. He subsequently held various positions within the Industrial Gases Division, including both domestic and international assignments. Mr. McGlade was named General Manager of the Chemical and Process Industries Division in 1994; Vice President of the Division in 1996; and Vice President and General Manager, Chemical and Process Industries, and Energy Systems in 1998. He was appointed Vice President and General Manager, Performance Materials Division in 2001, and Vice President, Chemicals Group business divisions in early 2003. Later that year, Mr. McGlade was named Group Vice President, Chemicals Group, in which he had global responsibility for the Group, as well as the Company’s industrial gas and chemicals manufacturing organization, and Environment, Health, Safety and Quality. Mr. McGlade serves on the board of directors of the American Chemistry Council. He also is a member of the National Petroleum Refiners Association Petrochemical Committee and the Society of Chemical Industry. |
