Mr. Sorensen has thirty-five years of experience in the energy industry, focusing primarily on financial analysis and taxes. All of this experience has been with DTE Energy - 25 years with Detroit Edison and 10 years with DTE Energy Services. He is responsible for the development and implementation of business strategies.
Mr. Sorensen's experience gives him a broad understanding of engineering and economic issues in both the energy and steel industries. This broad understanding is coupled with an in depth knowledge of finance and taxes. Combining these disciplines has enabled Mr. Sorensen to be a key player in developing and implementing the strategies that make DTE Energy Services' coal-based fuels business an overwhelming success.
Mr. Sorensen earned a master's degree in economics from Wayne State University and a bachelor's of business administration from Oakland University. |
