Mr. Papageorge is a member of Sommer Barnard’s Litigation and Labor and Employment Law departments. He represents clients in all aspects of commercial, employment and tort litigation. He routinely represents companies involved in complex commercial litigation, breach of contract and breach of warranty matters, and non-competition issues. In addition to the commercial arena, he has significant experience defending personal injury and property damage claims, which often involve significant injury and potential significant exposure for the client. He also represents companies involved in employment litigation, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans With Disabilities Act, Title VII, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and Employment Retirement Income Security Act. His significant litigation experience includes serving as lead counsel for clients involved in jury trials in both federal and state courts, argument before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, Alternative Dispute Resolution, including mediation and arbitration, representation of clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Indiana Civil Rights Commission. |
