John C. White has served as UTI’s Chairman of the Board since October 1 2005. Mr. White served as our Chief Strategic Planning Officer and Vice Chairman from October 1 2003 to September 30 2005. From April 2002 to September 30 2003 Mr. White served as our Chief Strategic Planning Officer and Co-Chairman of the Board. From 1998 to March 2002 Mr. White served as our Chief Strategic Planning Officer and Chairman of the Board. Mr. White served as the President of Clinton Harley Corporation (which operated under the name Motorcycle Mechanics Institute and Marine Mechanics Institute) from 1977 until it was acquired by UTI in 1998. Prior to 1977 Mr. White was a marketing representative with International Business Machines Corporation. Mr. White was appointed by the Arizona Senate to serve as a member of the Joint Legislative Committee on Private Regionally Accredited Degree Granting Colleges and Universities and Private Nationally Accredited Degree Granting and Vocational Institutions in 1990. He was appointed by the Governor of Arizona to the Arizona State Board for Private Post-secondary Education where he was a member and Complaint Committee Chairman from 1993-2001. Mr. White received a BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois. Mr. White is the uncle of David K. Miller our Senior Vice President of Admissions.
