John A. Villarreal utilizes in his everyday career undertakings. These traits are valued in his position as Commercial Lender because he provides for his customers and ensures that the bank will supply constant and unparalleled service with a We Do More attitude.In his current position, Villarreal loans money to various businesses and assists in the oversight of the department. He first joined IBC in 1988 as an employee of the Credit Department. During the course of four years, he worked as a Loan Review Analyst until he was transferred to the Commercial Credit Department in 1992. Prior to joining IBC, he was employed as a Commercial Bank Examiner with the Texas Department of Banking where his primary concern was to ensure the safety and soundness of banks.Villarreal is active in various civic organizations. He serves on the Board of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Laredo Rotary Club. He also serves on the Board of Junior Achievement of Laredo, of which he is also past Treasurer and past Chairman. He is an alumni member of Leadership Laredo. Villarreal received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a degree in Finance from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. He continued his higher education at The Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. |
