Served for 21 years prior to merger as outside general counsel for Florists' Transworld Delivery Association, a Michigan nonprofit corporation with 24,000 members in the United States and Canada, sitting with and counseling the Board of Directors, serving as counsel and secretary to the FTD Audit Committee, and overseeing the legal affairs of the association; also served as legal counsel to Interflora, Inc., the international association of florists. Served as outside general counsel and Corporate Secretary for Dura Automotive Systems, Inc., (a NASDAQ listed leading worldwide supplier of parking brake mechanisms, pedal systems, manual and automatic transmission gear shifter systems and electronic throttle systems) sitting with and counseling the Board of Directors, serving as counsel and secretary to the Audit Committee and overseeing the legal affairs of the corporation. Representing and counseling Miller Brewing Company in Distribution Law matters in Michigan and regionally from 1971 to 1999; serving as one of Miller's National Distributor Litigation Counsel; represented Miller Brewing Company and Molson Breweries in trademark and patent infringement litigation involving ice beer products. Representing numerous clients in antitrust grand jury proceedings, antitrust litigation and counseling and commercial litigation. Co-chair of the State Bar of Michigan Committee, which rewrote the Michigan Nonprofit Corporation Act in 1982.
