Mr. Helfrich is an Associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck's Denver office and a member of the firm's Litigation and Natural Resources groups. His practice concentrates on water rights, environmental compliance, public lands and land use.Calling on an extensive set of experiences related to environmental issues, Mr. Helfrich represents private and public companies, as well as local government entities. He works regularly on state water rights issues, hazardous waste compliance and remediation, and environmental due diligence in real estate transactions. Mr. Helfrich holds a master’s degree in environmental chemistry. Before entering the legal profession, he was employed as an environmental consultant. He conducted and managed environmental compliance audits and provided regulatory compliance support to both government and private-sector clients. In addition, Mr. Helfrich had technical and management responsibilities for site investigation and remediation projects related to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). |
