As vice president, corporate development at Scientific Atlanta, John Buckett is responsible for the development of business through acquisition, investment and partnering with the leading technology companies of the telecommunications industry. He currently is also a member of the Corporate Management Committee and a Corporate Officer of Scientific Atlanta, Inc.
Previously, Buckett was the president of the International Division where he was responsible for international marketing and sales activities, and also oversaw the day-to-day operations of Scientific Atlanta’s regional sales offices located in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Italy, Singapore and the United Kingdom/Europe. Prior to that position, he was vice president, marketing strategies, for all operating units of the company. He began his career with Scientific Atlanta in 1982.
John Buckett is on the board of directors of Strategic Management Inc., Interlink Electronics, and vice chairman and board member of the Scientific Atlanta JV in Shanghai China.
A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Buckett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. He is a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers (SCTE) and the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM). |
