Joel started his career doing software contracting for a large government project in the District of Columbia. Finding the area not to his liking, he moved back to the land of his alma mater and begin working for WDD.
Joel started at WDD on April Fool's Day in 2005 as a software tester. He has since become a software developer for WDD and has past experience with web applications, database design, software testing, computer vision applications, and technical documentation.
In his spare time, Joel climbs simulated rock walls, plays video games, runs a local dungeons and dragons game, and reads voraciously.
