Joel brings his years of experience in user interface design, platform and consumer product management, and mobile devices to lead Wavemarket’s Marketing and Product Management team.
Before joining Wavemarket, Joel worked at the Microsoft Corporation, where he most recently was the Lead Program Manager of the MSN Smart Watches (SPOT) initiative, launching a consumer product and service that allowed users to get up-to-the-minute content (such as sports scores, news, weather, and stock tickers) delivered to their watch.
Prior to his work on SPOT, Joel worked on the Windows Shell team through Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. Initially, Joel led design and usability improvements throughout the user interface and later moved into platform development, spearheading a company-wide cross-product communication platform effort for Windows Vista. Earlier in his career at Microsoft, Joel also drove early peer-to-peer social experience features within the MSN client products.
Joel earned an MBA with Distinction from Harvard University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Brown University, where he was inducted into Sigma Xi. |
