Joel Campbell is President - Industrial Energy Europe for Exide Technologies (NASDAQ: XIDE), a global leader in stored electrical-energy solutions.
Mr. Campbell is responsible for all commercial and operational aspects of Exide's European Motive and Network Power businesses, including batteries, chargers and monitoring systems for forklifts, cleaning machines, electrically-driven access equipment, telecommunications, electric utilities and railroads. Joel joined Exide in February 2006 as Vice President and General Manager - North American Recycling, bringing more than 35 years of operations and general management experience to his role.
Mr. Campbell began his career at Ford Motor Company in the manufacturing management sector of the Transmission and Chassis division. Later, he served as Vice President - Manufacturing at Elano Enterprises (later acquired by GE Aircraft Engines); as Plant manager at Massey Ferguson; as Vice President of Operations for the heavy railway equipment division at Canron Industries; and later as President of Canron's Pacific Press machine tool division.
He also held a number of increasingly responsible positions at Cooper Industries, including President of Cooper Automotive. His most recent position before joining Exide was Senior Vice President - North American Aftermarket at Tenneco.
Mr. Campbell holds a bachelor's degree of business administration with a major in economics from Western Michigan University. He has also completed extensive post-graduate coursework. |
