Joel is based in Geneva, Switzerland and has responsibility for operations in Europe, Africa, and Middle East (EAME) and the Confederation of Independent States (CIS). The EAME Offices lend to Caterpillar customers through local subsidiaries (i.e., Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia and Sweden).
Joël graduated in 1972 from the No. 1 French Business School in Paris, HEC. From 1974 to 1992, he held various positions in the French Bank UFB Locabail, a subsidiary of Paribas specialized in leasing business equipment. Joël began his career at Financial Products Division in 1993 as the Managing Director of Caterpillar Finance France S.A., which he started up in a joint venture with UFB Locabail. |
