Joel Adams President and CEO
Joel started his career as a computer programmer, became a systems analyst then a client services manager for a software company. He found his entrepreneurial spirit stifled by working for others and started Devon Consulting in 1982 from a bedroom in his Queen Village apartment. From an initial personal investment of $30,000, Joel grew Devon Consulting to be one of the Philadelphia region’s leading supplemental staffing and services companies. In 1990 and 1991, Devon Consulting was identified in the Philly 100 as one of the Philadelphia Region’s fastest growing privately held companies. In 2001 Devon was listed fourth among 100 of the Best Places to Work In PA. In November 2003 Devon was ranked number three in the Philadelphia Business Journal's Computer Consultants List and in April 2004 Devon was listed number 15 in the Tech Employers list. He and his wife reside in Schuylkill Township, Chester County with their four children (including triplets!).
