Joel K. Mostrom was elected senior vice president & chief financial officer of Chesapeake Corporation as of January 3 2005. He previously served as vice president & treasurer with additional responsibilities for investor relations since 2001.
Mr. Mostrom joined Chesapeake in 1992 as president of the company’s land development businesses Delmarva Properties Inc. and Stonehouse Inc. He was named a corporate vice president in 1998 and also assumed responsibility for the corporation’s investor relations activities.
Prior to joining Chesapeake Mr. Mostrom was president of Curtis F. Peterson Inc. in Columbia Maryland from 1989 to 1992. He joined Peterson as chief financial officer in 1984 and served as a manager with Peat Marwick & Co. in Baltimore from 1978 to 1984.
Mr. Mostrom is a member of the real estate school advisory board for Virginia Commonwealth University and is a member of Financial Executives International.
A Maryland native he received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Maryland. Mr. Mostrom passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in 1978. |
