Joe Romano
Executive Chef
Joe Romano grew up with an appreciation for fine food and the art of cooking. From an early age he knew that he was destined to become a master within the culinary industry. Surrounding himself with the best mentors possible, Joe moved to New York City and found the endless source of inspiration and innovation he desired. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the Culinary Institute of America, and graduated with honors. After completing his education, Joe joined Aureole. Under the progressive American food movement, and direction of Charlie Palmer, Joe quickly became Palmer's right-hand man. After participating in a culinary tour throughout the country to explore regional American cooking, Joe settled in Palm Beach, Florida to open Aqua Terra for the Charlie Palmer Group. Managing all aspects of the business, he soon earned the Silver Spoon Award. Following this, Joe relocated to his current home in Las Vegas to serve as executive chef for the opening of Aureole. In addition, he opened JW's Tavern at the Rio, served as consultant to The Stirling Club at Turnberry Place and Charlie Palmer Steak at the Four Seasons. In addition to Joe's involvement with local PT's Pubs, PT's Places and PT's Gold, he launched the new flagship brand Sierra Gold, a Nevada style tavern, in Reno and Las Vegas. His involvement will also include the restaurant concepts for the Golden Mardi Gras and Golden Gates Casino located in Black Hawk, Colorado.
