Joe Petti has over twenty years of executive management experience of healthcare organizations and has tremendous experience with business start-up & build-out, technology integration, mergers & acquisitions, business development, strategic positioning of new market strategies, and technology solutions within the private, public and government managed healthcare. As Executive Vice President/Chief Technology Officer of Calvert Health Partners, LLC. (CHP), Mr. Petti is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of CHP’s proprietary managed care technology solution - HealthCompassÔ. Mr. Petti is also responsible for technology assessment of acquisition targets, business development, and building corporate strategic alliances. As Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Sierra, Mr. Petti was responsible for strategic planning, emerging markets, corporate alliances, business development, e-health, and enterprise technology. His responsibilities included the re-engineering and business process improvement for Claims, Customer Service, Medical Management, and other key functions. Mr. Petti designed the enterprise architecture and technology integration methodology that was used to create a fully integrated health plan. He was responsible for the design and build-out of the enterprise-wide healthcare administration technology scalable to handle over 3 million members and process in excess of 16 millions claims each year. In a role that was critical to the creation of the integrated solutions and operational scale required by TRICARE, Mr. Petti formed alliances with companies such as Microsoft, HP/Compaq, ACS, Standard Register, and Cap Gemini/Ernst and Young. Mr. Petti also created new relationships with large integrators such as Lockheed Martin, CACI, and SAIC. He planned and directed all technical due diligence and negotiations pertaining to the acquisition of new technology. As the CEO of Jovis, Inc., a healthcare solutions management consulting firm achieving annual growth of 25-30 percent, Mr. Petti established the strategic plan, new market strategies, and technological vision for large Managed Care Organizations, specifically in the areas of e-health and enterprise workflow distribution systems. He also provided due-diligence consulting for new technology acquisition. As the Chairman and CEO of CONVISTA, Inc., a premier provider of enterprise workflow solutions for Healthcare, Human Services and related industries, Mr. Petti successfully guided the company to profitability and a growth rate of 650 percent from 1995 to 2000, while maintaining a less than 2 percent employee turnover. At CONVISTA, Mr. Petti designed and built enterprise-wide technology infrastructure to handle over 10 million covered lives while maintaining the technology flexibility to allow easy integration of acquisitions. He consulted on technology roll-ups, acquisition integration, and data conversion for mid-tier health and disease management organizations. The integrated delivery systems designed by CONVISTA for Health Management Corporation (HMC), a subsidiary of Anthem (TRIGON BlueCross BlueShield), were instrumental in HMC becoming a two-time winner of the prestigious C. Everett Koop National Health Award for disease and maternity management. Mr. Petti is very active in the local community and charities within the Baltimore-Washington corridor and serves on several non-profit boards. |
