Joe Menard is corporate vice president, Consumer Business for AMD. In this role, he is responsible for the solutions, strategies and sales and marketing efforts for AMD’s processor businesses serving the consumer segment. Prior to this role, as corporate vice president of Software Strategy and Alliances, Menard was responsible for defining and driving AMD’s software strategies and partnerships, and building the software and solutions ecosystem around the AMD64 platform.
Before joining AMD, Menard was founder, chairman and CEO of WebGain, Inc., a privately held provider of Java software for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that he was with BEA Systems where he held several leadership positions including general manager of the E-Commerce Server Division, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, and senior vice president of sales, EMEA. Before joining BEA, Menard lead the TUXEDO Systems division at Novell. Previous to this role, he was vice president of marketing at Unix System Laboratories, and spent 10 years at Digital Equipment Corporation in a variety of senior product management, product marketing, and program management jobs. He started his career as an electrical engineer at Raytheon.
Menard holds a master’s degree in business administration from Babson College, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. |
