Joe Gawlik, Senior Vice President, Business Development: Mr. Gawlik is 3001's Vice President of Business Development. After earning his BS from the University of Dayton, Joe received his commission in the United States Navy. His first duty assignment was as Combat Air Intelligence Officer for Attack Squadron Fifty-Six, which deployed to the Gulf of Tonkin and was involved in the mining of Haiphong harbor, and in the Linebacker One/Two strike operations in Vietnam. He then served as an aviation instructor at Pensacola, an Intelligence Division Officer in USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69), Head of the Chief of Naval Operations Intelligence Briefing Section, Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence for Carrier Group Seven and Cruiser Destroyer Group Five, and finished up his Naval career as a Program Manager at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. He earned a Masters degree in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey and is certified as a Weapons System Acquisition Professional.

Joe has spent over fifteen years now, working in a variety of business development, operational and executive positions with several companies. The companies include MRJ Technology Solutions, Veridian, SiloSmashers, and General Dynamics. His expertise is in strategic and tactical business development as evidenced by his many contract wins. In his last position at General Dynamics, he was responsible for the management and the mentoring of a business development staff, with a goal of closing over $340M worth of contract awards per year for the Reconnaissance and Surveillance Systems Line of Business.
