Mr. Fitzgerald, located in Huntsville, AL, has been involved with the government and aerospace and defense firms over many years. He is a former senior executive with BDM International, where he held the position of Vice President for Missiles Systems Technology. He also served as Director, Advanced Programs for the Space Programs Division of Teledyne Brown Engineering and held several other positions at TBE before that one. Joe served as President of the Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of the Association of the US Army (AUSA), which won the association's best chapter award during his tenure (200305). He is President of the North Alabama Veterans and Fraternal Organizations Coalition, and serves on AUSA's National Advisory Board. In January 2006, he received the "Distinguished Service Medal" from the Governor of Alabama, the highest medal awarded by the Governor to a citizen of the state. |
