Joe Costello is an executive, an entrepreneur and an investor with twenty-five years of experience in the high tech industry. Costello is CEO and Chairman of think3, a developer of mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD) software that is used throughout the product development process. He also serves on the boards of Calico Commerce (NASDAQ: CLIC), iCopyright.com, Orb Networks, Reality Fusion, Saba, Santa Cruz Networks and Simplex Solutions. Prior to think3, Costello was the president and CEO of Cadence Design Systems for more than a decade. Under his leadership, Cadence became the world's leading supplier of electronic EDA software and services and one of the ten highest-grossing software vendors in the world. In 1997, Chief Executive Magazine named Joe the top-performing CEO of all publicly traded companies in North America, and Upside Magazine included him in its "Elite 100" list of top executives leading the digital revolution. Costello holds a B.S. degree in mathematics and physics from Harvey Mudd College, an M.S. degree in physics from Yale University, and an M.S. degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley. |
