Joe Cimino is entering his 14th season as a member of the Dolphins equipment staff and the first in his current role after being promoted to Equipment Manager during the 2007 offseason. He first worked in the department in 1987 prior to his return in 1995. Cimino is responsible for issuing and ordering all playing equipment for the team. Along with assistants Charlie Thiele and Keys Oakley, Cimino coordinates the transport of the club’s equipment to and from each road site. He is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
In addition to his responsibilities in the equipment room, Cimino, has been a team representative on the draft-day phones in New York each of the past seven years.
A native of Dania, Fla., Cimino attended St. Thomas University in Miami, where he earned his undergraduate degree in sports administration and his master’s in management.
Cimino and his wife, Holly, reside in Davie with their daughter, Christianna and their son, Christian. |
