Based in Axcan’s Houdan, France, office, Mr. Jocelyn Pelchat has served the Company as senior vice president, international commercial operations, since 2004. He joined the Axcan organization in the year 2000 as vice president, business development and export operations.
In 1999, just prior to beginning his career at Axcan, Mr. Pelchat was director of business development at the Société générale de financement du Québec, a diversified investment fund. Serving in various positions of increasing responsibility in clinical research, sales, and marketing, as well as project and portfolio management, with Jouveinal, Rhône Poulenc Rorer, Sandoz, and Hoechst Marion Roussel (now Sanofi-Aventis), he originally began his career at Roussel Canada as a medical research associate.
Mr. Pelchat holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree (2003) and a Master of Science degree in radiobiology and nuclear medicine (1983), both from the Université du Québec à Montréal. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree (1981) in chemistry and biochemistry from the University of Sherbrooke. |
