Joanna Peters is the Managing Principal of StratConGlobal, Inc. a strategic advisory firm based in New York. Joanna has undertaken build outs and workarounds in the emerging markets (India, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the GCC), driven rollups in Asia and the United States and has acted as advisor and interim COO on new private equity ventures in the offshore oil and gas sectors. Joanna provides Best Practice Business Management COO expertise to the alternatives industry. Her activities include strategic positioning, acquisition due diligence, development of new distribution capabilities via strategic alliances and open architecture platforms for investment firms and offshore institutional investors. Her focus is origination, structuring and business management issues (consolidating infrastructure, maximizing efficiencies, improving operating controls). Prior to StratConGlobal, Joanna has built or advised on a number of investment businesses in the emerging markets and cross border jurisdiction for leading diversified financial institutions (Citi, ABN and AMEX). Joanna is a Best Practice Industry Speaker here and abroad. She sits on the Advisory Board of the Princeton Committee on Foreign Relations, is a CoChair of the Asia Hands Group and Senior Member of Arab Bankers Association (ABANA). She co foundered the Peer Advisory Councils of 100 Women in Hedge Funds where she also served as Mentoring Chair. Prior to that time, she served four years on the Board of a New York City magnet school, Stuyvesant High School. Joanna is admitted to the Bar in Australia as well as in New York.
