JoAnn Rumelhart, Executive Vice President of FBL Financial Group, joined FBL in 1978 and held several positions in the actuarial department prior to being named Actuarial Vice President in 1985. She was then named Vice President-Client Services in 1991 and Vice President-Life Operations in 1994, before being named to her current position in 2000.
JoAnn holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Iowa State University and has completed actuarial science graduate work at Drake University. JoAnn is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. JoAnn is also a Registered Representative and a Registered Principal with the National Association of Securities Dealers.
JoAnn is involved in many industry activities and is a member of the Executive Development Committee Task Force for LIMRA International. She has served on LIMRA's North American Advisory Council, as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President and President of the Des Moines Actuaries Club, and as a text reviewer for LOMA textbooks. She is also a past member of the Actuarial Task Force for the Iowa Life and Health Insurance Association.
JoAnn is on the Dean's Advisory Council for Iowa State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Iowa. |
