Shaw oversees BJC's adult learning initiatives, including the BJC Center for Lifelong Learning, School at Work program, and partnerships with local colleges and universities. Shaw joined BJC in 2001 as vice president and chief human resources officer, and established the BJC Center for Lifelong Learning to open new career paths for employees through training and development opportunities.
Shaw has served as chairperson of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration's Legislative and Labor Committee, and on the ASHRRA Board of Directors as president in 2000 and immediate past president in 2001. She has served on the Society for Human Resource Management Employee Relations Committee, and on the Board of Directors of American Hospital Association-Insurance Resources Inc. She serves on the St. Louis chapter of Junior Achievement and March of Dimes. She has served on both the national and St. Louis chapter Boards of Directors for the Alzheimer's Association. She also serves as chair of the Board of Directors of the St. Louis chapter of OASIS. |
