Ms. Grant has practiced corporate and securities law since 1983. She specializes in representing investment advisers, including registration and ongoing compliance, organizing domestic and offshore investment funds and contracts between fund organizers and investors, custodians, broker-dealers and placement agents.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Grant practiced general corporate law in San Francisco, primarily representing financial institutions. Her practice included regulatory compliance, general corporate and securities issue, employee incentive plans, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law compliance. In addition, Ms. Grant has worked on license agreements, private placements of debt and equity, public securities offerings and the buying and selling of privately held businesses.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Ms. Grant is a member of the Business Law Section and the Section of Taxation of the American Bar Association and a member of the Banking Law Committee and the Committee on Legal Opinions of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the Business Law Section of the California State Bar and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
EDUCATION
Ms. Grant received her B.S. degree in finance and political science from Kansas State University in 1979. She received her J.D. degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1983 and a Masters in Management from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in the same year. |
