Dr. Joachim Modlich is an attorney and adviser whose practice is focused on corporate and real estate transactions.
Joachim advises on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, takeovers and privatization. He also advises clients on transactions involving distressed targets and on restructuring and insolvency matters. In addition, Joachim represents international real estate investors (including real estate funds) in connection with the acquisition and disposal of real estate portfolios and companies.
Prior to joining the Cologne office of Mayer Brown in 2000 (appointed partner same year), Joachim was associated with a prominent US law firm in Düsseldorf (1997-2000). He is a native German speaker and is also fluent in English.
