Jim Wickett joined Macrovision as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development in February 2004. He is responsible for spearheading Macrovision's intellectual property licensing strategic partnering and acquisition strategies to expand Macrovision's offerings in digital rights management and software licensing solutions for the entertainment and software businesses.
Wickett brings over 25 years of investment and operational management experience in the fields of enterprise software Internet services and media. Before joining Macrovision Wickett was a consultant to the entertainment and computer industries helping independent producers and venture-backed companies. Wicket has also served as a general partner in Bay Partners an early stage venture fund and was senior vice president for worldwide business development at PointCast Inc. an Internet and Intranet news broadcast company. Prior to PointCast he was COO for Rocket Science Games Inc. and negotiated a number of significant technology intellectual property and worldwide distribution licenses positioning the company for acquisition by Sega.Wicket has served as a member of the boards of directors for nine companies in the enterprise software digital media Internet services and wireless industries. |
