Jim Voelker became the chairman, president, and CEO of InfoSpace in December 2002. He had played an integral role since being named to the company's board of directors in July 2002. Voelker has more than 20 years experience managing telecommunications and technology companies. As president and board director of Nextlink Communications, Inc., now XO Communications, Voelker was instrumental in developing the company vision and guiding overall operations from inception in 1994 through 1998. Prior to Nextlink, Voelker served as CEO and board director of US Signal, where he directed the merger of various entities into a single unit that became the first full-service competitive local exchange carrier in the United States. |
