Dr. Jim Simpson is Keystone Dental’s Chief Technology Officer. From 1990 to 2006, Jim served as the Director of Clinical Research at Institut Straumann AG in Switzerland. He developed advanced surfaces for dental implants, and worked on the designs of orthopedic and dental implants, as well as studying biological responses to metals in the human body. Before that, from 1980-1989, he held a Group Leader position at Sulzer Brothers Ltd. in Waldenburg, Switzerland. During his time at Sulzer, he developed improved materials for hip and knee prostheses. Jim holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgy from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK. |
