Jim Minervino is the corporate vice president of Corporate Marketing Strategy & Insights at Microsoft. His current responsibilities include Marketing and Brand Strategy, Positioning and Messaging, Market Research & Insights, and Packaging.
Minervino joined Microsoft in 1988 and has led a number of marketing groups at the corporation including market research, direct marketing, and end user marketing.
In 1994, Minervino left Microsoft to found Genesis Capital Management, Inc., a hedge fund management company based in Seattle.
He also served as a lead marketing consultant to Visio Corporation from their pre-IPO stage through the company's IPO and eventual purchase by Microsoft in 2000. Minervino rejoined Microsoft in September 2000.
He has worked in the technology industry since 1984 and has held management positions at Toshiba and International Data Corporation (IDC). He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics, summa cum laude with distinction, from Boston University.
Minervino reports to senior vice president of marketing, Mich Mathews. He is married with two daughters and lives outside Seattle, Washington. |
