Jim Maritan is Vice President of Medicare-D and Business Development for CVS Caremark Corporation, parent company of CVS/pharmacy and Caremark Pharmacy Services. In this position, Jim focuses on developing new sources of growth as well as evaluating strategic issues for the senior executive team, including CVS' venture investment in and subsequent acquisition of MinuteClinic. He also leads CVS Caremark's Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) businesses--SilverScript and Prescription Pathways (a joint venture with Universal American Corp.)--which serve over 1 million members. Prior to CVS, Jim was a senior manager at the Boston Consulting Group and served as VP Strategic Planning for Staples. He also serves as a director of Arclight LLC and is a member of the advisory board for Point Judith Capital. Jim received his Electrical Engineering degree with highest honors from the Queen's University (Ontario, Canada) and a masters degree in management from Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University, where he was awarded the distinction of Krannert Scholar. |
