Jim Hazen is the Delivery Director, Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Services for BSD Group. Jim has more than 20 years of experience in software development and testing and is a Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) through the Quality Assurance Institute (QAI). He has a broad background of technical and project management experience, holding positions as a consultant, department manager, test lead, and automation and performance developer. He has worked with a wide variety of applications on DOS, OS/2, Windows, and Web environments. His application testing experience spans several industries such as banking, insurance, CRM/ERP, CAD/CAM, disk utilities, and hospitality, making him an ideal contributor to almost any client project. Jim is dedicated to helping clients develop an intelligent testing strategy that maximizes efficiencies throughout the testing lifecycle. Jim is well known in the industry as a QA expert and he has presented at multiple industry conferences, including STARWest, Quality Week, QAI Conference, and the Practical Software Quality and Testing (PSQT) event on the topics of performance testing and test management. Jim works with BSD Group clients to identify, select, and implement optimal testing methodologies that include tools for test management, functional automation and performance testing. Jim is a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Zoology. |
