Jim Haynes joined Bookham on June 30, 2003 from Agility Communications in Santa Barbara, USA where he held the position of Chief Operations Officer. Jim has a career in optical components which spans over twenty years.
He joined STC Defence Systems in 1984 and spent 15 years at the Paignton site through the Nortel acquisition of STC, where he held various management and Engineering positions, including Director of Operations. He left Paignton in 1998 for an international assignment in Ottawa, Canada as Director of Technology. He had responsibility for all Indium Phosphide (InP) Fabs, and Packaging in Ottawa.
He left Nortel in December 2000 to become COO of Agility Communications in Santa Barbara, where he had responsibility for all Operations and Engineering activities. |
