Jim has over 35 years experience in national executive recruitment and began his career with Shamrock Personnel, Boston - filling staff and middle management positions for NE Divisions and Subsidiaries of Fortune 1000 Companies - eventually becoming VP of the 48 person recruiting firm.

Four years later Jim was hired as VP of Weidemann Consultants, NYC - managing 32 recruiters filling executive positions for diverse industry employers in greater Manhattan.

In the early 1970s Jim founded Hawthorne International Inc., Stamford, CT - focusing on middle management and executive recruitment for CT, NY, and NJ manufacturers for 10 years.

After Hawthorne was acquired, Jim became President of Weatherby Corporate Services, Norwalk, CT focusing on aerospace industry recruitment.

In 1986, Jim founded Gilreath Weatherby, Inc., d.b.a. Gilreath Consultantcy since 2000 and now located in Concord, MA.

Jim is an alumnus of Marist College and Seminary.

In honor of his many contributions to the world of executive search, Jim received the prestigious 2005 Professional Excellence Award from the New England Executive Resources Council.
