James Franks joined Kirkpatrick Oil Company in 1996. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field including positions with Lone Star Producing Company, Texas Oil & Gas Corporation, and two decades as an independent consultant--nine of those on retainer with Braunco, Inc.
As Chief Geologist with Kirkpatrick Oil Company, Franks prospects the Company’s core Mid-Continent area, developing new opportunities in and around legacy properties, and generating prospects in new areas. He also manages the Company’s geological wellsite operations and supervises the development geology efforts of consulting geologists. Franks represents Kirkpatrick Oil Company at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
Franks holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Oklahoma State University. He is a member of the Society of Professional Well Log Analysts and American Association of Petroleum Geologists. He also serves as treasurer of the Oklahoma City Geological Society. |
