Jim Fahey joined Rohm and Haas in 1995 as a product engineer working on the IBM-Shipley DUV photoresist alliance. He held several research and development and engineering roles of increasing responsibility at Rohm and Haas in the Micro business before being named R&D and Engineering director for Circuit Board Technologies (CBT) in 2000. He was named director of Marketing for CBT in 2002 and a year later moved to Advanced Materials as Sales and Marketing director. He was named business unit director of Advanced Materials in 2004 and added responsibilities for the Digital Imaging business in 2006.
In December 2007 Dr. Fahey was named president and business unit director of the Electronic Materials Microelectronic Technologies business. He is a member of the Rohm and Haas Leadership Council.
Dr. Fahey is based in the company’s Marlborough facility.
Before joining Rohm and Haas Dr. Fahey worked in research and product development at IBM. He earned his bachelor of science in Organic Chemistry from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish Nova Scotia Canada. He obtained his masters of science in Polymer Chemistry and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Cornell University and is the author of numerous patents. |
