Jim Eckels is director of development at Prescient. He is responsible for overall infrastructure operations and product development, strategy and direction of Prescient's retailer-centric and advanced commerce solutions. Eckels spearheads the expansion of Prescient's supply chain software solutions and services; he is also responsible for defining and implementing advanced commerce functionality around item, price, and promotion data management. Under Eckels' leadership, Prescient is the recipient of numerous client satisfaction and technology awards, including Philadelphia's 2005 Small Business Excellence Award for Technology Company of the Year.
Eckels has held a variety of product development roles at Prescient since joining the firm in 1996. Prior to Prescient, Eckels worked as an independent contractor for an information systems consulting company. He also spent six years serving in the United States Marine Corps. Eckels holds a bachelor's of science degree in computer science from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. |
